My Homemade Vegan Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe

Ingredients
- 8 oz vegan cream cheese softened
- 1/2 cup vegan butter softened (not melted)
- 2½ – 3 cups powdered sugar sifted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt this is optional, but it helps balance sweetness
Instructions
Beat the vegan butter and cream cheese:
- In a mixing bowl, use a hand mixer or stand mixer to beat the vegan cream cheese and vegan butter together until smooth and creamy (about 2 minutes).
Add the vanilla:
- Mix in the vanilla extract until combined.
Add powdered sugar gradually:
- Add 2 1/2 cups of powdered sugar, one cup at a time, beating on low at first to avoid a powder cloud.
- Increase speed to medium and beat until light and fluffy.
- If you prefer a thicker frosting, add up to 1/2 cup more powdered sugar.
Taste and balance:
