Begin by washing the strawberries thoroughly and removing the green tops. If using fresh mango, peel it carefully and cut the flesh into small chunks to help it blend more smoothly.
Add the strawberries, mango chunks, and frozen banana to the blender first. Placing the fruit at the bottom helps the blades blend more efficiently.
Pour in the almond milk, followed by the chia seeds or flaxseed if using. These add fiber and healthy fats while thickening the smoothie slightly.
If you prefer a sweeter smoothie, add the maple syrup or agave at this stage. Taste can always be adjusted later, so start with a small amount.
Add ice cubes if you’re using fresh fruit and want a colder, thicker texture.
Blend on high speed for 30 to 60 seconds, stopping once or twice to scrape down the sides if needed. Continue blending until the smoothie is completely smooth and creamy with no visible fruit chunks.
Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness or thickness as desired by adding more milk (for a thinner texture) or more frozen fruit or ice (for a thicker texture).
Pour into glasses and serve immediately for the freshest flavor and best texture.
